HoHoHo!!!!

Hello Everyone!!! I'm looking out the shop window at the beautiful snow...can't believe we have snow BEFORE Christmas!!! Yeah.....started pouring snow IMMEDIATELY after I'd opened the Hero box and priced everything for the debut this afternoon. So I'm blogging to let you all know that we won't be having the debut this afternoon, or the Stamp of the Month class tomorrow. HOWEVER both are rescheduled for January 2. The Stamp of the Month class will be 10-12:00 that morning and the debut will be 12:30-2:00 in the afternoon. Also, at the debut, we'll be doing a free make-n-take with 2 of their new stamps (while supplies last). If you're interested in the stamp of the month class, just call the shop. If it's during the time we're closed, just leave a message cuz I'll be checking in all during that week.

WE WILL STILL BE OPEN DECEMBER 22, 10-8:00 AND DECEMBER 23, 10-5:00. Still time for last minute shopping and gift certificates.

Have a beautiful Christmas! We love you!

But with that thought in mind, I wanted to say how thankful I am for all you...customers and friends...who have supported us for the past 4 years. It's incredibly hard for me to believe we've been open that long, but it's been a joy and much fun to work with you, get to know you, and laugh with you. Keith and I wish you a blessed Thanksgiving. Please believe that we thank God for you every day.

I'll be posting again soon to let you know when our t-shirts will be ready. We also have a BIG shipment of new Flowersoft goodies coming in any day. So keep checking! Have a great, rainy Tuesday!

April 28, 2009

Happy Tuesday to you all!! Our opening of the new room was much fun Saturday. If you couldn't get here Saturday, please stop by when you can. The new stuff is great!
Thank you for all the positive feedback on the website. I'm still pinching myself, trying to believe it's actually MY shop on there! Again, thanks to Emily and Dan. Please be patient with me as I learn to maintain it. I am a slow learner when it comes to computers, but Emily is also an amazing teacher. The newsletter will be up soon .
Remember make-n-takes every Thursday!
And remember Mother's Day is in less than 2 WEEKS! Have a great week.

Stacy's coming!

It's an exciting week at Dorothy's! We will have Stacy Rich teaching classes Friday night and Saturday. I hope if you can work this into your weekend schedule, you'll reserve your spot in one of her classes. There's more info about her in our newsletter that you can check on line.
Stacy is a lovely person who will immediately make you feel like you've known her forever. She's a gifted artist whose talents show through in her classes and in the stamps she makes. If you'll notice, when you buy one of Stacy's stamps, she has personally signed each one which means she has inspected it and given it her "stamp of approval". Take advantage of this opportunity! We're fortunate to have her!

Stay tuned for make-n-takes and classes using this great new medium! (yes, I'm purposely being vague....suspense building technique....is it working???) We'll also be posting pictures from the show for your viewing pleasure! Have a great weekend!

Arts and Crafts with Michele

Today Michele spent the day at Dorothy's demoing various techniques. She showed how to use: Omni Gel transfer medium, painting with Adirondack Alcohol Inks, embossing on glass, Judikins' Sticky Stuff powder and Metal Accents (verrigated gold leaf), faux stained glass effects with Magenta Peel-offs and alcohol inks...and the day isn't over yet!!! Customers have been in and out all day, loving what she was doing and just having a blast! Michele will be leaving us tomorrow to go back home to Oklahoma, but having her has been sooooo much fun!

Michele comes to town

What a great day! Michele Charles flew in from Oklahoma to teach two FANTASTIC workshop classes! In the first class we made beautiful pieces of soldered art including a necklace and a bookmark charm. We even brought out the sea glass and believe me the ladies
were inspired!

Michele even brought some goodies all the way from England and taught us some new lingo, "Wonky". For the afternoon class we created unique artist trading cards, ATCs, through a process of coloring, masking and layering. I LOVE this stuff!!
